About Us
Cagil Makina was established as a family company in 1966 under leadership of Mechanical Engineer, Mehmet Cagil. It is located in Corum, which is a city 240 km. in the east of Capital City Ankara and only 45 minutes away by car from Amasya-Merzifon Airport (MZH).
Today, manufacturing is done under a closed area of 12500 m² and there is a 320 m² R&D office in which projects are done by means of CAD systems. As specialized in manufacturing of Tailor-Made Machinery, starting from the year 1983, Cagil Makina has also been serving to ERW pipe manufacturers and since 1997, in a strategical partnership with PRD Co. of USA, we are also serving to Spirally Welded Pipe factories.
Beside SWP products, designing and manufacturing of Tailor-Made Machines and parts still continues. Cagil has been operating a Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 since August 2000.
Milestones
1966 - CAGIL MAKINA was established by Mehmet CAGIL in Corum/TURKIYE, by manufacturing of tailor-made spare parts
1971 - Manufacturing of De-Airing Extruder Machine for clay industry
1973 - Turn-Key First Animal Feed Factory
1975 - Moved the Manufacturing Plant from 125 m² to 2500 m², at current address
1978 - Company’s status changed to incorporated company, “CAGIL MAKINA A.S.”
1982 - Started Manufacturing machinery for ERW Pipe Factories
1987 - CAD programs started to be used in the design department
1991 - PLC has been used for the first time in Machine Automation
1992 - First Export has been done
1996 - Expanded Manufacturing Plant to 4500m²
1996 - Started Manufacturing machinery for Spirally Welded Pipe Factories
1997 - Collaboration with PRD, Pacific Roller Die Co. Inc. Hayward, CA, USA
1998 - First CNC investment
1999 - Expanded Manufacturing Plant to 7500 m²
2000 - First Export to USA
2002 - Engineered, Designed and Manufactured a Heavy Duty NC Horizontal Boring Machine 200, X:17300, Y:5000, Z1:2000, Z2:1000mm, W:2500 to be used in-house
2002 - First Complete SWP Machine has been manufactured
2006 - Expanded Manufacturing Plant to 8500m²
2009 - Dia.1000x3500mm CNC Grinding Machine has been manufactured to be used in-house
2010 - 1000 ton NC Hydraulic Press manufactured to be used in-house
2012 - Turn-Key API SWP Factory in Mexico
2012 - Expanded Manufacturing Plant to 10500 m²
2018 - Started Equipment Manufacturing for factories serving Wind Energy
2018 - CMC9000, CNC Multipurpose Machining Center engineered, designed and manufactured to machine “rotors and stators”
2019 - Administrative and technical departments has moved to new offices at the same address
2022 - Engineered, Designed and Manufactured a CNC Vertical Lathe, CVL1000HD
